Short description of the organization
CIVIL – Center for Freedom is a human rights organization that successfully combines activism, analytics and media production in their project activities, with a big impact on the processes and events in the Republic of North Macedonia. Civil is a non-profit and non-governmental national association of citizens, established on 25 November 1999. Informally, the organization has been active since 1996. CIVIL is one of the most trusted organizations in the country. It has conducted election observation since 2008, introducing new, highly effective methodologies of monitoring and civic education on voting rights.

General public: individuals and groups whose rights and freedoms are endangered: voters; media; political parties; youth.
Results
- Strong and visible influence of CSOs via dynamic and multilayered inter-sectoral communication among various stakeholders and decision-makers at national and local level;
- The number of active members of CIVIL has increased for 100 per year (from 400 to 700 in three years);
- The citizens are encouraged to participate in decision making at the local and national level in different areas and themes.
