Short description of the organization

LGBT United Tetovo is a civil, non-profitable and multi-ethnic organization that includes members from different ethnic groups and religions.

The goal of LGBT United Tetovo is to protect, promote and respect human rights, primarily those of LGBTI people, to provide equal access to health care and to provide other vital social and legal services, thus guaranteeing equality and inclusion of LGBTI people in all spheres of life by creating a supportive and tolerant atmosphere that includes diversity and freedom.

LGBT United Tetovo was established on 9 May 2012 and since that is has acted and worked in Tetovo but also broader in Macedonia, with a special focus on the cities of Tetovo, Gostivar, Struga, Ohrid, Kichevo, Debar.

Their mission is to protect, publicly support and promote human rights of the LGBTI population in North Macedonia by providing equal access to health, social and legal services and inclusion in all processes in the society, as well as successful preservation in an environment where equality, freedom, ethics, integrity and diversity are on the rise.

Constituents

LGBTIQ+ community; friends, families and supporters of LGBTIQ+ community; municipalities, ministries, public institutions, associations and foundations from RNM and Europe.

Results

  • Promoted efficiency and effectiveness of LGBT United Tetovo
  • Developed skills of the members, personnel and volunteers of LGBT United Tetovo
  • Prepared fundraising strategy.
