Regional Landfills – A Health Risk

A thousand landfills. About fifty municipal ones, but operating without permits. Only one is legal and operates according to standards. Macedonia is buried in waste. Environmental protection laws exist, but there is no implementation. Why? It costs money. The state budget has no funds allocated for this purpose. The burden will have to be carried by citizens through higher waste collection fees. But no politician would dare make such a decision!
