Short description of the organization
European Policy Institute (EPI) – Skopje was founded on 24 February 2011, as a citizen association. EPI’s mission is to provide a sound base for debate and solutions, targeting decision makers and the wider public, through high-quality research and proposals on European policy. Key research areas are EU accession – monitoring and advocacy, democracy and rule of law and EU acquis and sectoral policies. In the last 10 years, EPI has conducted 10 regional and 33 national projects and published 70 policy briefs, monitoring reports, applied policy studies and research studies. EPI is the founder of Network 23 and a co-founder of the TEN regional network. Since 2018, EPI has been a national research organization of the EU Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA).

Executive power (officials and high ranked public servants of SEA, MJ and MFA); parliament (especially the Commission on European Affairs and the National Council for European Integrations); judicial institutions (direct cooperation with Association of Judges and Public Prosecutors, courts, public prosecution, special public prosecution); European institutions and EU member states (direct beneficiaries of their products, regular annual meetings); national and local CSOs and professional organizations (with a focus on those working in the area of rule of law); general public (media presence and project activities, but also innovative methods).
