In order to be eligible, the applicant must be:

  • registered as association, foundation or union under the Law on Associations and Foundations.

Institutional Grants are meant to support both institutional development of civil society and organisational strengthening of individual CSOs. Civica Mobilitas expects Institutional Grantees to take up leadership positions within civil society in the country in general and within the programme in particular. Civica Mobilitas expects the Institutional Grantees to be pro-active, take and lead initiatives for collaboration and unite other CSOs.

The applicants should demonstrate their capability for implementing internal processes in order to overcome their institutional and organizational challenges and to improve their performances, thus contributing towards the Civica Mobilitas objectives.

Overall Objective: Social changes in North Macedonia, are driven by a strong civil society sector, active citizens and good cooperation with the authorities, resulting in more transparent, accountable and socially-inclusive governance at both central and local level.

Outcome 1 – Civil Society Environment: The environment for civil society development is improved through the creation of mechanisms for better cooperation between the authorities and CSOs and increased public funding for civil society.

Outcome 2 – Civic Engagement: CSOs build strong constituencies enabling citizens’ active involvement in civic initiatives, including voluntary activities.

Outcome 3 – Collaboration: Collaboration among CSOs is improved, leading to civil society alliances.

Outcome 4 – Civil Participation: CSOs actively participate in public policy and decision-making, leading to better policies and practices.

The call consists of Applications Guideline and Application Form with the supporting documents:

  • Annex 1: Financial plan (Budget)
  • Annex 2: Administrative and eligibility documents of the legal status of applicant Applicant’s proof of registration by the provision of Current Status from the Central Registry (not older than six months)

The duration of the support shall be up to 3 years (36 months), and the budget between MKD 3.000.000 and MKD 4.500.000. For this call, Civica Mobilitas is expected to award 15 grants.

The deadline for the submission of applications is 3 May 2019 by 16:00 hours Macedonian time. For applications sent by registered mail or courier service, this deadline is also valid. Applications that are submitted by hand, via registered mail or a courier service must be delivered before the deadline to the following address:
