Activism against violence is a daily struggle – December 10th marked in Prilep

On 10th of December, on the occasion of Human Rights Day, the Association LET Station organized an information event in the center of Prilep, with the aim of raising awareness about gender-based and domestic violence and informing the social community about the availability of psychological support services.

At a public stand set up in a busy location, a team of the association directly connected with the users and distributed information flyers on psychosocial support ideas for women and services for victims of violence. Through this activity, there is an opportunity to be informed about the ways to access support, as well as the importance of timely help and protection.

This event was a symbolic conclusion of the global campaign “16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence”, but also a reminder that the fight against violence does not end with the campaign. On the contrary, it continues – through information, support, solidarity and shared responsibility.

The activity was aimed at encouraging women and children facing violence to seek help, but also at encouraging the wider community to recognize, respond and support. At the same time, the event contributed to increasing the visibility of the psychosocial support service that the Association provides, as well as building trust among potential users.

The Association LET Station remains committed to providing safe, confidential and accessible support for all women and children victims of violence. If you or someone close to you needs support, we encourage you to reach out – you are not alone.

*This activity is part of the project “Path to Safety: Strengthening Psychosocial Support Services for Women and Children” implemented by the Association for Legal Education and Transparency LET Station, within the framework of the project “Institutionalizing Quality Services for Rehabilitation and Integration of Victims of Violence II” funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) with funds from the Austrian Development Cooperation, and implemented by the National network to end violence against women and domestic violence.
