Today in Veles, the regional event “The Ombudsman and Persons with Disabilities” was held, organized by the Association of Persons with Cerebral Palsy and Other Disabilities – Veles, in partnership with “Poraka” – Negotino and “Eko-Zhivot” – Kavadarci, within the framework of the project “Facing the Challenges and Stigmatization”, supported through the Civica Mobilitas program, financially supported by the Government of Switzerland and implemented by MCMS, NIRAS from Denmark, and FCG Sweden.
Speeches were delivered by Vesna Kostić Ivanović – State Advisor for Monitoring the Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and Ms. Vaska Bajramovska-Mustafa, State Advisor, who spoke about the importance and implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, institutional support, as well as mechanisms for the protection and advancement of human rights, with a special focus on children and persons with disabilities.
We sincerely thank all guests, institutions, organizations, parents, and persons with disabilities who were part of this important event. Your presence, support, and shared experiences made this gathering meaningful and reminded us that only together can we build a more inclusive, equal, and accessible society for everyone.
