Metamorphosis Foundation participated in the 2nd European Forum on Digital Citizenship Education in Strasbourg

Representatives from Metamorphosis Foundation participated in the 2nd European Forum on Digital Citizenship Education, held from 27–29 May 2026 at the Palais de l’Europe in Strasbourg, France. The event brought together policymakers, educators, researchers, civil society representatives, and digital experts from across Europe to discuss the future of digital citizenship education and democratic participation in the digital age.

Organized by the Council of Europe, the Forum focused on assessing the achievements of the European Year 2025 and contributing to the development of the upcoming Road Map and Action Plan for Digital Citizenship Education for 2027–2031. Discussions explored topics including digital literacy, AI and education, online well-being, democratic participation, human rights in the digital space, and innovative approaches to teaching and learning.

Our Executive Director, Bardhyl Jashari, contributed as a speaker at the session: Strenghtening democracy through active participation.

The Forum provided an important opportunity for networking, knowledge exchange, and strengthening international cooperation around digital rights, education, and democratic resilience.

The event also highlighted the importance of collaboration between institutions, civil society organizations, educators, and policymakers in building inclusive and human-rights-based digital environments for future generations.
