#Green Friday 7: Our action, our nature, our responsibility!

Association LET Station in cooperation with PUC Komunalec – Prilep organized a public area cleaning campaign at the Artificial Lake – Picnic Meadows. Through the “Green Friday” initiative, we encourage greater care for the environment, shared responsibility and active participation of citizens in the preservation of public spaces.

The aim of the action was to clean up a public area and raise awareness among citizens about the importance of environmental protection and responsible behavior towards nature.

The action was attended by about 40 activists, volunteers, citizens and representatives of partner institutions, who jointly contributed to the collection and removal of waste from one of the most visited recreational locations in Prilep. According to data from the Public Utility Company Komunalec – Prilep, over 5 m³ of waste was collected in the action, which was appropriately disposed of at the landfill in Alinci.

PUC Komunalec Prilep provided protective gloves, plastic bags and a waste container, while the Association LET Station provided refreshments for all participants.

With this initiative, we send a clear message that joint action brings visible results, and caring for the environment starts with each individual. Through small but concrete activities, we can together create a cleaner, healthier and more beautiful living space.

*The activity is within the framework of the project “Eco Initiative: Citizens and Local Government in Action for Environmental Protection!”, implemented by the Association LET Station, within the framework of the sub-granting program of the project “Good Environmental Governance of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans”, implemented by the Center for Legal Research and Analysis, the Macedonian Association of Young Lawyers and Front 21/42, and is financially supported by the European Union.
