CONSTITUENTS
In the focus of this activity are women prisoners from Idrizovo prison.
Apart from the target group, the action will also include the employees in Idrizovo prison, starting from psychologists, people who are in charge of prisoner rehabilitation, prison police.

REHABILITATION OF WOMEN PRISONERS
BACKGROUND
The action is needed for rehabilitation of women prisoners. It is directed to improving the capacities, dignity and possibilities of the women prisoners who have been discriminated based on their identity, to be part of the society.
GOALS AND RESULTS
Goal: Well informed and increased number of educated women prisoners to recognize, understand, as well as prevent the status of victims of violence to have more efficient and more effective rehabilitation of these persons.
Objectives:
Using theoretical and yoga models for rehabilitation of women prisoners in order to improve the psychological and physical condition of this target population.
RESULTS
- 52 women prisoners well informed;
- Improved educational level with 28 women prisoners;
- Improved psychological and physical condition as a result of yoga exercises with 52 women prisoners;
ACTIVITIES
Degree of recognition of the victim status
- Meetings with psychologists to review the work program which exists and is being practiced in the penitentiary system with respect to the victims of violence;
- Reviewing and identifying the degree of awareness about the concept of types of victimization, types of violence, with a special focus on gender based violence with women prisoners.
Theoretical and yoga rehabilitation of women prisoners
- 10 theoretical workshops will be implemented in the course of 10 weeks, by the project manager;
- 10 yoga sessions will be held in the course of 10 weeks, i.e. one session per week, by a yoga instructor;
- Manual will be prepared and a final event will be organised.
