ECO DRON PATROL (Eco Patrol with an Unmanned Vehicle) – Digital + Green Transformation
BACKGROUND
Every year, the authorities of the Municipality of Kumanovo appeal to all farmers, business sector and other stakeholders from the Northeast Region not to throw out the plant waste from their fields, not to burn the stubble, as well as to the quarries and other polluters not to pollute the air. The lack of free phone line and/or internet platform to report these occurrences makes the problem even more complex. It is necessary to prepare a plan for regional collection of plant waste and monitoring of the air near the agricultural areas, quarries etc.
GOALS AND RESULTS
Goal:
Promote the improvement of the environment with the pollution of air, water, soil, public greenery and alleviate the effects of the climate changes with the help of digital transformation.
Objectives:
Increase the motivation and actively involve the local population, first of all farmers and/or the business sector (quarries) in the process of improving the environment with the pollution of the air, waters, soil and public greenery via cooperation/partnership/networking of the local stakeholders with the local self-government.
RESULTS
- Prepared methodology for drone methodology for the period of November 2021 – April 2022 with prepared elaborated geographic and aerial analysis of the target groups.
- Reported and/or implemented 16-24 drone flyovers (unmanned flyovers of 35-40 min.), visual (Live) recording and production, monitoring and identification of the possibilities for pollution of the air, water, soil, public greenery in the Municipality of Kumanovo.
- Strengthened cooperation/partnership/networking between COR Elipsa and the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Foundation Kumanovo via a Memorandum for Cooperation on future joint projects, first of all EU projects.
ACTIVITIES
- Call to all stakeholders to implement the project actions and implement the project activities;
- Reported and/or implemented 16-24 drone flyovers;
- Prepared Eco Drone visual analysis for the period of November 2021 – April 2022;
- Formalizing the cooperation/partnership/networking between the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Foundation Kumanovo and COR Elipsa, as well as opening a free telephone line and/or internet platform;
- Promotion of the achieved results by publishing the final report.
