Together We Can Go Further: Citizens for Change no. 10, jubilee issue dedicated to cooperation
The latest issue of Civica Mobilitas’ “Citizens for Change” newsletter is the tenth, jubilee issue. The basis of our work, of what CSOs do, is cooperation, which is the main theme of this issue.
In the articles, we inform you about examples of cooperation of the Macedonian Institute for Media (MIM) and the National Council of Disability Organizations (NSIOM), Legis and the Reception Centre for Asylum Seekers to develop a mentorship programme for improvement of the possibilities for employment of the asylum seekers, Metemorphosis Foundation and eight organizations with which they prepared the openness index. You can also read about Civica Mobilitas Festival “Day of CSOs”, which was used as a platform for several new cooperations. Polio Plus signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Commission for Prevention and Protection from Discrimination, and the civil sector received a Code for CSOs signed by 52 organizations so far, which was also promoted at the event.
Apart from this, we also spoke about the main contribution of the civil society in the last 30 years since the independence of the country, and along that line there is also the analysis of Finance Think pertaining to unemployment, salaries and gross domestic product. Megjashi presented the results of the new report on the SOS Phone for Children and Youth, and Borka – for Each New Day organized the traditional pink walk whose main message was that “Cancer Patients Must not Be Forgotten because of the Pandemics”. The activities of the Regional Green Centre from Ohrid mobilized 170 young people in actions for environment protection, and Organization of Women from Lozovo trained the textile workers.
