Civica Mobilitas Thematic foruм: „Can we do more than grants?!“ – Funding Civil Society Organizations through: donations, crowdfunding and social enterprises

The event will take place on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at 12:00 PM, at the Social Enterprise Center (Macedonia Street, next to the Mother Teresa Memorial House) in Skopje. If you cannot attend in person, you can follow the live stream on the official Civica Mobilitas Facebook page.

This important topic for civil society organizations will address practices, examples, and challenges in the sector regarding fund mobilization and sustainability without grant support. Experiences from representatives of CSOs who have gone through various fund mobilization processes will also be shared. Of course, it’s not all about the money; behind the lack of finances are numerous other issues that will also be addressed at the Forum: the lack of true engagement of people in CSO activities, a shortage of entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to try something new, and limited knowledge within CSOs on how to tackle funding issues, among others.

Representatives of Civica Mobilitas grantees sharing their experiences in this area will include: Ljupcho Petkovski, Deputy President of Inno Hub – Skopje; Suzana Trajkovska Kočankovska, Social and Business Advisor for the Social Enterprise Support Project; and Viktor Mirchevski, Program Manager at KONEKT – Skopje.

The Civica Mobilitas Thematic Forum provides a space for discussion among representatives of CSOs, national and local institutions, and all other stakeholders essential to addressing the issues raised.

Civica Mobilitas is a civil society support program of the Swiss Embassy, implemented by NIRAS from Denmark, the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation (MCIC), and FCG from Sweden.
