Civica mobilitas

Civica mobilitas has launched its final phase

The implementation of the new, final phase of Civica Mobilitas has begun, which will last until the end of 2026. It continues to focus on social changes in the country driven by a strong civil society, active citizens, and good cooperation with authorities. This is expected to result in an expanded civic space, sustainable civil organizations, and more transparent, accountable, and socially inclusive governance at both central and local levels.

Civica Mobilitas is funded by the Government of Switzerland and is implemented by the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation (MCMS) in partnership with NIRAS from Denmark and FCG from Sweden.

Civica Mobilitas will work on intensifying civic engagement, increasing civic participation, and improving the environment for civil society development. The planned activities aim to enhance trust in civil society, improve public policy-making processes, and help diversify funding for civil organizations. Activities will largely be implemented in synergy with civil organizations, particularly those that will be beneficiaries of one of the two types of grants: partnership or constituency-building grants. In addition to grants, Civica Mobilitas will provide a space for discussions through national and thematic forums or regional and national festivals, networking meetings, etc.

The program’s budget is approximately 4.5 million Swiss francs, of which 3 million is allocated for grants and direct activities.
