Global Conference on Electoral FIMI and Democracy- Call for Panel Contributions (Deadline: 18 September)

International IDEA is inviting organisations to submit panel proposals for the Global Conference on Electoral Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI) and Democracy, taking place on 3–4 March 2027 in Chișinău, Moldova. The conference will bring together CSOs, researchers, public institutions, regulators and policy actors to exchange evidence, methods and strategies for strengthening democratic resilience against election-related information manipulation. Proposals should address one or more of four themes: enablers and incentives of FIMI; civil society accountability and advocacy; institutional, legal and policy responses; and gender, equality and inclusion. Cross-sector partnerships and applications from the Global South and regions facing significant electoral FIMI risks are particularly encouraged. Selected panels may receive support for travel, accommodation, research, production, interpretation and translation. Panels will run for 90 minutes with up to four speakers and should ensure gender balance. The deadline for submissions is 18 September 2026. Find more here.
