Summer Camp “Rebels for Peace” in Trogen, Switzerland 2024

The Center for Education and Development (CED) is thrilled to announce an inspiring opportunity for youth empowerment and international cultural exchange, set in the serene and picturesque Children’s Village in Trogen, Switzerland. This program, running from July 07th to July 20th, 2024, is designed to engage young minds from North Macedonia in critical reflection on personal values and behavior patterns, aiming to bolster their identity and individual growth.

Exchange Details:

  • Location: Children’s Village, Trogen, Switzerland
  • Dates: July 7th – 20th, 2024
  • Participants: 18 young people born in 2007-2009 from North Macedonia, accompanied by 3 adult supervisors
  • Objective: To promote personal development, peaceful coexistence, and sustainable development through inclusive and quality education.

Program Highlights:

  • Interactive Learning: Participants will engage in informal classes focusing on intercultural rights and personal development, facilitated by the Pestalozzi Children’s Foundation.
  • Cultural Excursions: The itinerary includes 5 excursions to major Swiss cities including Zurich, Luzern, Konstanz, Saint Gallen, Schaffhausen, and Winterthur.
  • Community Living: Young participants will reside in specialized homes within the village, fostering a sense of responsibility and community.
  • Language: A working knowledge of English is required to ensure active participation and engagement.

Selection Criteria:

  • Open to: Children who have not previously participated in a cultural exchange at the Pestalozzi Children’s Village.
  • Priority: Preference will be given to students from underrepresented backgrounds, including those living in rural areas, members of ethnic minorities, and children from low-income families.
