The Independent Scene Has a Price

The independent cultural scene is increasingly gaining momentum in fulfilling its mission of opening socially important topics. Faced with a series of challenges on the path toward their goals, civil society organizations in culture and art have no intention of easily giving up on promoting the alternative scene as a counterpart to the commercial one. This video story confirms that only with the support of foreign foundations can independent cultural and artistic workers stay afloat, express their quality and knowledge, and influence social processes. The interviewees from “Lokomotiva,” “Taksirat,” and MKC Bitola expect brighter days for the alternative cultural scene.
