Learning and Creating Together: New Knowledge and Skills through Organic Medicinal Herbs

We continue to successfully implement the activities within the project “Together We Are Stronger 2”, supported by the Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation. This workshop brought together persons with disabilities from the Vardar Planning Region, including participants from the Municipality of Gradsko and beneficiaries of the social services provided by PORAKA Negotino.
Another workshop from the series on organic medicinal herbs and the production of natural products was successfully held.
Under the guidance of a mentor, participants were introduced to the properties and benefits of several medicinal herbs, including rosemary, sage, calendula, and lavender.
Through a practical, hands-on approach, participants were guided step by step through the entire process—from preparing and processing the herbs, to drying and proper storage, and finally combining them to create a variety of natural products.
Participants actively took part in the preparation, production, and packaging of the products, following each step together with the mentor. This practical and educational approach enabled them to acquire new knowledge, develop their skills, and actively engage in every stage of the process.
During these sessions, participants had the opportunity to:
learn the basics of using organic medicinal herbs
discover, step by step, how natural products are prepared and packaged
explore the properties of rosemary, sage, calendula, and lavender
actively participate in the production and packaging process
develop their creativity and fine motor skills
build self-confidence and a sense of achievement
