“In the Same Rhythm” – A Campaign to Raise Public Awareness of Gender Equality

“In the Same Rhythm” is a new campaign aimed at young people in the country, set to be implemented by the Health Education and Research Association (HERA) in the coming period. This campaign focuses on young people as a target group who needs substantial support, emphasizing solidarity, concern for their well-being, and encouragement for greater participation in social processes. Simultaneously, the campaign aims to inform the public about the benefits of gender-sensitive education, which includes sexual education, as well as policies that support gender equality in the country.

Young people are at the center of HERA’s mission as an organization committed to developing programs and services specifically designed for them. HERA aims to provide a wide range of health protection services, support, gender-sensitive education, comprehensive sexual education, and mental health protection to promote the overall well-being of young people.

In this context, “HERA Youth” operates as a vital component of the organization, born out of the necessity for young voices to be heard and to take action when priority issues for young people are not priority issues for the institutions. Today, this informal youth group consists of over 90 members aged 16 to 25, who are dedicated to raising awareness and educating their peers about sexual and reproductive health and rights through peer education initiatives focused on comprehensive sexual education.

When all young people have equal opportunities for learning, expression, and personal growth, they can unlock their potential and contribute to building a stronger, more inclusive society. Their voices must be heard, their ideas valued, and their rights protected. It is crucial that every young person has the opportunity to develop at the same pace, as this creates a solid foundation for the future of our community.
