CEA participated in the Geneva Urban Debate event

Representative of Center for Economic Analyses participated in the Geneva Cities Hub, Geneva Urban Debate, co-organized with UN Habitat, in partnership with UNDRR, The World Bank and UNECE (held on 28 June, 2021): Post-Covid Economic & Financial Recovery: What about the City? 

Cities are at the core of the recovery process in response to the Covid crisis. Learning from their experience is an opportunity to work towards a resilient and sustainable urban future. The participants discussed:

  • What are the key characteristics that enable cities to be resilient?
  • What lessons can be drawn from the experiences of local leaders who are on the front-line during the pandemic?
  • How can the international community help cities to recover better?

Local governments shared their experiences and initiatives to respond to this multifaceted crisis.
