ON THE PROJECT SUPPORTED BY CIVICA MOBILITAS

VIA CIVIC ACTIVISM TO SYSTEMIC SOLUTIONS FOR HOMELESS CATS

BACKGROUND

The cats are not in the government system and programme for protection of homeless animals. Unfortunately, despite several initiatives of CSOs and citizens (activists), there is no programme yet that would provide systematic protection of cats, as well as prevent their uncontrolled breeding.

With this action, besides the cooperation with other CSOs, it is also planned to influence the authorities to undertake more systematic measures to prevent this problem. Civic activism, as a very important tool for awareness raising with the people who, because of superstition or similar Culturological mentality refuse to sterilize their pets, which results in uncontrolled growth of the number of homeless animals.

GOALS AND RESULTS

Goal: Improve systemic solutions for improvement of the situation with homeless animals.

Objective: Sterilize homeless cats and raise the awareness about the importance of sterilization.

  1. Improved cooperation among relevant stakeholders
