STRONG WOMEN’S ORGANIZATIONS, STRONG SOCIETY

BACKGROUND

The beneficiaries of the activities will be the municipalities or communities where there are non-active women’s CSOs detected, those who want to become involved in the project, i.e. to be active again. Additionally, to find ways how to motivate the young people to be included in volunteer activities, as well as lack of channels for information flow regarding the possibilities for development of the organizations. 

GOALS AND RESULTS

Goal: Sustainable and strong local women’s organizations which effectively influence the decision making and raising the awareness about gender issues.

Objective: The project aims to activate and strengthen the passive organizations from NSRR network

RESULTS

  1. Increased number of constituents/members of the organizations mobilized and involved in activities, organizing events/meetings on weekly or monthly level, on various topics, gathering groups of women
  2. Increased number of volunteers in the organizations that are network members
  3. Empowered NSRR constituents by strengthening the individual and collective capacities of the organizations that are network members
  4. Reregistered part of inactive organizations and registered informal movements as NSRR members
  5. Increased cooperation among the organizations in the network via continuous communication at the FB group

ACTIVITIES

  1. Mapping the current situation in the filed regarding the organizations within NSRR network
  2. Support to selected local organizations in organizing regular meetings with groups of women to have discussions, awareness raising, encouraging the women to be involved and actively participate in the local communities
  3. Two workshops for 20 women and girls from 10 selected organizations in order to strengthen the personal and organizational capacities for strategic management of the organizations, which will take place in Skopje
  4. Helping the inactive organizations that are NSRR members to reregister, as well as to the non-formal movements to be registered
