The CIVICA Mobiitas Grant Selection Committee evaluated the received applications and awarded seven grants to be implemented by a total of 22 organizations (the list with the awarded applicants and their partners is placed at the end of the article).

The activities of the new grantees will be implemented in 9 different sectors and will cover topics for civil society development, gender issues, democracy, environment and natural resources, good governance, human rights, education, science and research.

Some of the projects will develop a model for strengthening civic / women alliances (platforms) for advocacy of socio-economic policies at the local level during the recovery from the pandemic; a dispatch center and a mobile team will be established to provide social services care for the elderly and infirm in rural areas; Tools will be created to increase the volume of donations for socially relevant innovative projects.

Thus, shall improve the functionality and transparency of the local inspection supervision and the two-way communication with the civil society organizations and the citizens in general will be encouraged; interethnic relations will be strengthened and radicalization will be prevented by creating a peer learning system. Some of the actions will establish a system for monitoring policies and legislation in the field of protection against discrimination, with a special focus on the work of the new Commission for Prevention and Protection against Discrimination, etc.

The supported actions mainly will be implemented on national level, and part of them on regional and local level. The grantees come from five regions, the Skopje region, east, southwest, Pelagonija and northeast regions.

On the Open Call with the deadline on 3 March 2021, 92 applications were received from the total of 195 Civil Society Organizations, Foundations and Media, whereby 83 met the administrative criteria and were submitted to the Committee.
