Call for Participation in Training of Trainers (ToT) on AI Literacy for Adult Education

Within the framework of the project “Initiating Adult Learning Programmes on AI”, we are pleased to announce a call for participants for Training of Trainers (ToT) aimed at adult education trainers and educators involved in adult education who are interested in enhancing their knowledge and skills in AI literacy and integrate it into their work with adult learners.

The project is funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme (KA220-ADU – Cooperation Partnerships in Adult Education) and focuses on developing innovative approaches for introducing Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy among adult learners and within the adult education sector. The project is implemented by the Metamorphosis Foundation for Internet and Society from North Macedonia, Curiosité Centre de Formation (CCF) from France and Connect International (CI) from Belgium.

Together, the partners are developing a curriculum for AI literacy for adult education providers, educators and trainers, and a toolkit for designing and implementing AI learning programmes in adult education. These outputs are designed to support educators in delivering AI-related content in two key areas: AI in professional life – productivity, employability and labour market relevance; and AI in personal life – ethical use, risks, benefits and human rights considerations.

The Training of Trainers will ensure the practical use of these resources through direct engagement with adult educators across participating countries.

About the Training of Trainers

The Training of Trainers is part of a broader effort to:

  • Enhance the capacity of adult education providers to deliver AI literacy training.
  • Support the responsible and informed use of AI in both professional and personal contexts
  • Promote ethical, human rights-based and practical understanding of AI, aligned with the AI Act and European AI regulatory frameworks

The training will specifically address two key dimensions of AI:

  • AI in professional environments – supporting productivity, employability and competitiveness
  • AI in everyday life – including ethical considerations, risks, benefits and civic competences
