Huge interest in Civica mobilitas grants

More than 160 representatives from civil society organizations attended the three information sessions dedicated to the Civica Mobilitas Partnership Grants Call, held in Štip, Gostivar, and Skopje. They had the opportunity to hear key guidelines for preparing concepts for this call, learn about the topics and application process, ask questions, and use the events to network with colleagues from other organizations.

All planned activities of the organizations must align with the objectives and outcomes of Civica Mobilitas and the themes specified in this call, which include anti-corruption, decentralization, environmental protection, gender equality/social inclusion, education, health, and youth.

Many questions focused on the eligibility of potential applicants, main applicants, and partners; demonstration of previous project management experience, financial capacity, and related areas. In terms of finances, interest was directed toward the minimum and maximum grant amounts that could be requested, budget distribution among partners, allocation of funds for independent audits, and similar matters. Participants were also interested in the scope of actions in both geographical and thematic terms, specifically whether actions could encompass multiple themes.

A new feature of this call is the fully online application process, for which a dedicated platform has been created at www.grants.mk (Download the Guide for Creating a Profile). Organizations must register on this platform and create their profile before submitting their concepts.

The proposed activities should span 30 to 36 months. The maximum grant amount is 14,500,000 MKD, while the total available funding for this call is 1,800,000 Swiss francs.

The questions and answers from the information session held in Skopje on July 31, 2023, as well as those received at helpdesk@civicamobilitas.mk by July 31, 2023, will be published in the coming days. Questions and answers from the sessions in Štip (July 20) and Gostivar (July 25) and those received by email by July 28, 2023 (by 2:00 PM), have already been published and can be viewed at https://civicamobilitas.mk/cm-pg/.

For questions related to online application with technical aspects, please contact support@grants.mk, including the organization’s registration number (EMBS) and a brief description of the issue.

The deadline for submitting applications is August 30, 2023, no later than 1:00 PM.
