The first monitoring visits to current grantees completed

At the beginning of June, the Civica Mobilitas team visited active grantees. The purpose of the visits was to hear about the experiences of project implementation, learn about the challenges organisations face, and, where necessary, offer recommendations.

Civica Mobilitas places a strong emphasis on encouraging collaboration among civil society organisations and consolidating achievements in various thematic areas to maximise collective impact.

During these visits, Civica Mobilitas collaborators had the opportunity to hear about the experiences of digital transformation at the local level. The introduction of interactive digital platforms allows citizens and local authorities to communicate directly and jointly contribute to improving conditions in their municipalities. Free mobile and web applications enable citizens to easily communicate with municipal employees via their phones or computers. This has resulted in a greater impact on municipal activities and a quicker response to resolving problems.

Some grantees shared their experiences regarding activities related to the green agenda, inclusive development, the health rights of vulnerable groups—especially women and girls—anti-corruption efforts, and more.

Among those conducting the monitoring was Petrous Toines, a senior expert at Civica Mobilitas. He emphasised the synergy between civil society actors and the importance of these visits. Face-to-face discussions provide insights that go beyond formal reports, capturing human stories, motivation, and resilience in overcoming obstacles during project implementation.
