ON THE PROJECT SUPPORTED BY CIVICA MOBILITAS

Research on “Corona virus – test for the digital society”.

BACKGROUND

The action targets the youth, specifically the students and their active involvement in research activities. The goal is to improve the interactive dimension of the online studying by more active involvement of the students in research activities. Additionally, indirectly, the action would contribute to improvement of the research potential of the students. Via this action, the students would be motivated to get actively involved in the scholarly research on: “Corona virus – test for the digital society”.

GOALS AND RESULTS

Goal:

The goal of the project is to increase the level of research activities with the young (students) and their involvement in the research work.

Objectives:

• Raise the awareness about the significance of the research activities in resolving the problems in the dynamic surrounding;
• Bigger involvement of the students in the research work, in conditions of online teaching;
• Raising the awareness with the students on using the digital technologies in everyday student activities, which imply more learning and less communication on the social networks;
• Obtaining information via scholarly research on the current situation with respect to the usage of the digital technologies, especially during Covid-19 pandemic.

RESULTS

• Call for Research Projects on “Corona virus – test for the digital society”.
• An online educational lecture for the applicants to prepare research projects;
• Online event for presentation of the selected research projects;
• Electronic and printed Collection of Research Projects.

ACTIVITIES

1. Preparation of a Call for Research Projects. Publication and promotion via social media and e-mail marketing;
2. Preparation of posters, fliers and other information and promotion materials;
3. Visit to universities and meeting with their representatives for promotion of the project, as well as promotion of the Call for Research Projects among the students;
4. Organizing an online info session for the interested young researchers;
5. Holding an online educational lecture for the applicants to prepare research projects;
6. Review of the received research projects and selection of the best applicants;
7. An online event to present the selected research projects and grant the awards to the best three research projects;
8. Preparing an online Collection of Research Projects. Printing and distribution.
