CONSTITUENTS

Target group in the project are people with physical disabilities from the municipalities of Debar and Centar Zhupa.

ON THE PROJECT SUPPORTED BY CIVICA MOBILITAS

Creation of conditions for access of people with physical disabilities to the state institutions and other important facilities.

BACKGROUND

This project directly supports the people with special needs (men, women, young and adults), i.e. the people with physical disabilities and their free and independent access to the important institutions is enabled, just as for all other people.

GOALS AND RESULTS

Goal:

Creating conditions, i.e. enabling access to the people with physical disabilities to the important state institutions and other facilities where they could independently from other people fulfil their obligations, needs, etc.

Objectives:

  • Independence of the people with physical disabilities from other helpers
  • Preserving and protecting the privacy of the people with physical disability
  • Including the people with physical disability in the society as equal citizens
  • Rooting out the prejudices and stigma on the people with physical disabilities and their acceptance in the civil society

RESULTS

  1. Enabled access of the people with physical disabilities to the important state institutions and other facilities (religious facilities, banks, sport fields etc.);
  2. People with physical disability will be able to individually fulfil their obligations and needs, without their privacy being invaded;
  3. Acceptance of the people with physical disabilities in the society as equal citizens and rooted out prejudices and stigma on of the people with physical disability.

ACTIVITIES

  1. Making an agreement for cooperation with the bodies in charge in the planned institutions and facilities;
  2. Organizing a call for constriction activities and publishing it, as well as preparing posters;
  3. Public ad;
  4. Conducting the construction activities;
  5. Printing T-shirts;
  6. Organizing a meeting of the people with physical disabilities, socializing and summarizing all conclusions of the undertaken activities.
