“In White Coats Across the World – The Trend of Young Doctors Emigrating”
Every year, dozens of doctors continue to leave Macedonia in search of better working conditions and higher salaries abroad. This exodus of doctors and healthcare workers is already being felt in many parts of the country – entire regions are left without doctors, and once-busy clinics now stand empty. The situation is particularly critical among gynecologists – since this summer, almost the entire Skopje region has been without a primary gynecologist, as no young doctor is willing to work in primary healthcare.
