Government Should Increase Funding for the Civil Sector

In addition to requesting clear conditions for the distribution of funds from the state budget, the civil sector is also calling for a substantial increase in these resources. It is proposed to change the model for allocating funds from the State Lottery. With these two changes, some NGOs indicate that the reliance on foreign donors for funding civil organizations would be reduced.

The story is produced as part of the project “Reporting on Civil Society and Its Impact on Societal Change”, implemented by the Macedonian Institute for Media in partnership with the Center for Investigative Journalism – SKUP Macedonia, with financial support from the Civica Mobilitas program.
