Aging Sewer Systems – A Threat to Lake Waters
The effects of pollution are beginning to impact the lakes, which are among Macedonia’s greatest natural treasures. Are the responsible institutions acting appropriately and taking care to protect the lake waters? The sewer system of Lake Ohrid is the largest and most important in western Macedonia, yet it operates at only half capacity.
