The Metamorphosis Foundation presented its “Disinfo Radar” at the Paris Peace Forum 2025

The Metamorphosis Foundation, through its “Disinfo Radar”, has been selected among the 30 solutions presented at the Paris Peace Forum 2025, a global platform that highlights concrete innovations for peace and democratic resilience.

This selection represents strong international recognition of Metamorphosis’ long-term leadership in addressing disinformation in the Western Balkans.

The Forum is held in Paris on 29-30 October 2025 under the theme “New coalitions for peace, people and the planet.”

Its Space for Solutions brings together projects with smart solutions from around the world in order to exchange methods, build partnerships, and scale up and improve results. Selection through this competitive global call positions “Disinfo Radar” side by side with initiatives that set standards for information integrity.

“Disinfo Radar” is an early warning system (pre-bunk) that anticipates sensitive moments which may trigger harmful narratives that create ethnic tensions and polarization in society, and then shares them with the media, civil society, educators, and institutions through applicable analyses and short key talking points, with the aim of informing in advance — before manipulative information content is created and spreads. The solution combines human expertise with AI-supported analysis and monitoring, based on a regional database of narratives and actors published in the monthly brief “Watch & Warn.”

This is an important step for Metamorphosis and for the region. For more than two decades, the Metamorphosis Foundation has advanced democracy, digital resilience, and media integrity through fact-checking, media literacy, open data, and technology-enabled transparency.

In an era of coordinated operations using manipulative information and disinformation, “Disinfo Radar” shifts the focus from reactive countering to proactivity — by anticipating narratives and explaining the risks they pose. Disinfo Radar equips democratic actors on the front line to act in a timely and effective way. This is precisely the type of results-oriented innovation that the Paris Peace Forum aims to amplify.

The presentation of “Disinfo Radar” at the Paris Peace Forum 2025 confirms the Foundation’s regional impact and opens new opportunities for cooperation with global partners and for mentorship through the Scale-Up Program (SCUP).

“The Disinfo Radar” emerged from the work of the regional project Western Balkans Anti-Disinformation Hub (Facebook, X), supported by the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
