A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SELECTED SPECIFIC TOPIC

The action includes the development and implementation of a gender-sensitive mentorship programme for judges and public prosecutors, based on international standards (CEDAW, GREVIO, and the practice of the European Court of Human Rights). In parallel, a youth school, youth forums, workshops with law students, and the establishment of a Youth Engagement Hub are implemented, through which young people gain knowledge, skills, and support for participation in public dialogue and advocacy for gender equality.

OBJECTIVES AND RESULTS

Overall objective:
To encourage systemic involvement of youth and judicial professionals in the creation and implementation of public policies based on gender equality through capacity development, mentorship, and intersectoral cooperation.

Specific objectives:

• Establishment of a gender-sensitive mentorship programme in the judiciary
• Strengthening the knowledge and involvement of youth and future legal professionals in public policies for gender equality
• Establishment of a gender-sensitive mentorship programme in the judiciary

RESULTS

• Developed and implemented mentorship programme with trained mentors and judicial professionals
• Organised youth school and 16 youth forums in all planning regions
• Conducted workshops with law students
• Established functional Youth Engagement Hub and support for youth initiatives
