Identify the change you make

Identification of social change made by civil society organizations was the main idea of the workshops held on 15 and 22 June in Skopje and Veles.

тификувањето на општествената промена која ја предизвикуваат граѓанските организации беше главна идеја на работилниците кои се одржаа на 15 и 22 јуни во Скопје и во Велес.

29 representatives of the institutional grantees of Civica Mobilitas took part. It was conducted by Simon Forester, an international expert of the program, in cooperation with Aleksandar Nikolov and Dusko Todoroski from the Association Zenit, which is also a specific action greentee of Civica Mobilitas.

“For us, as well as for Civica Mobilitas, it is important that you improve your reporting since we want to know what your achievements during the use of the grant are. You make important changes in society, however you must know how to recognize them.”, Forester addressed the participants.

At the workshop, the monitoring and evaluation concept and different approaches were discussed. The “Chain of results” concept was presented, and at the end the use of indicators which will help in measuring the acieved impact was discussed.

The participants made practical exercises for ranking and evaluation.  In smaller groups, they could analyze the results of their work and through the indicators to measure their achieved impact. In this way, they shared their experiences, but also had the opportunity to hear the experiences of the others in this area.

As a positive example we can stress the video that Medzasi presented in order to show the outcome of their work, as well as the work of few more civil society organizations.

The participants were satisfied by the workshop contents. They agreed that in their previous reporting they paid attention to presenting the results, and did not dedicate sufficient time to measure the wider impact they caused. In the practical part, they received useful recommendations from the lecturer, that they can apply in the future.
