The international expert Ana Vasilache explained the steps to be taken by the organizations, and she also presented the Learning by doing process.
The representatives of the organizations had an opportunity to get to know each other and to gain a deeper knowledge about the Civica Mobilitas program course. It was emphasized to the participants that learning and sharing as a basis for organization growth and strengthening was very important, especially for the fact that it is expected from the critical mass created in such a way to contribute to the social changes. It was also emphasized that the experience of organizations, as well as good practices, could be used as a resource for mutual improvement.

By a visual presentation of the life cycle of an organization, the participants made a self-assessment and identified the phases through which they have been through. This was an efficient way of identification of the problems experienced by the organizations, as well as an additional motive to overcome them through a strategic planning.

The past experiences and results of the institutional grantees from the previous two calls were also shared with the grantees.  “We are here to support each other,” Petrus Theunisz, the international team leader stressed. He stressed the importance of Civica Mobilitas visibility and the good presentation of the achieved results. He also stressed that the last generation of grantees will have the shortest deadline to achieve their goal, and that is why, they are required to be more efficient.

This was the first of the three workshops organized for the grantees. The next one will be held in June titled Working as one – individual action, collective force. The last workshop, which is going to be held in September, will be related to Working together for social changes.
