HIGH EXPECTATIOS AFTER THE FIRST MEETING BETWEEN CIVICA MOBILITAS GRANTEES AND MENTORS

The first meeting of Civica Mobilitas mentors and the institutional grantees who will cooperate on the development of the organizational development plans in the coming period took place.

“With this mentorship program it is expected that each organization will develop such management and such an organizational culture that will enable it to continue to make the changes in the society after the end of Civica Mobilitas grant”, said Valentina Chicheva, Institutional Grant Manager at the program.

During the meeting, the representatives of the organizations shared their progress in the area of organizational development so far, and they also shared the expectations from their institutional grant and the support that they will have for the coming three years.

Toni Stankovski from Ljubeznost (Kindness) association said that the organization was in the phase of professionalizing their work and that they were expecting the process to give them good directions to move forward. “We have come to the moment when we can no longer function solely on the voluntary free time of everybody who participates and they have been hired for the project on a honorary basis. I hope that this mentorship support will take us to the rights direction”, added he.

The mentors who went through the “Mentorship for Organizational Development” program shared their experience with CSOs and expressed their satisfaction with the cooperation in the coming period.

Maja Smilevska, mentor at the Change Management Centre and Resis said that she had found the process of involvement in Civica Mobilitas very interesting. “The new methodology is somehow a challenge to be focused on reality and I am convinced that with your long work experience we will eventually come to the products and that I will also remain in good relations in the sector”, she said in her introduction.

The mentors will work individually with the organizations, which will enable them to “tailor” the approach according to their needs; therefore, the effects of the mentorship support are expected to be bigger.
