Four new small grants awarded to civil society organizations

The Grants Selection Committee evaluated the concepts submitted by organizations in response to the Civica Mobilitas call for small action grants (CM-MAK-02) during the period from October 1 to December 30, 2021.

A total of 59 applications were submitted, with four organizations selected as recipients of small grants:

  • Intermunicipal Association of People with Physical Disabilities of Veles, Gradsko, and Čaška – MOBILNOST Veles with the project “Do It Yourself for Your Child (Guide for Creating Didactic Materials from Recycled Materials)”;
  • Association of Citizens Changemakers Gevgelija with the project “Organizing Sustainable Waste Management in the Municipality of Gevgelija”;
  • Association for Tourism and Hospitality – Kruševo with the project “Strengthening Cooperation between the Tourism Sector and Local Public Enterprises”;
  • Prima Center Skopje – Association for Creative Development with the project “Fire-Protected Building and Municipality.”

The new grantees will operate in the sectors of health and healthcare, support for people with disabilities, civil society development, and environmental and natural resources protection. The actions will be implemented over a period of two to seven and a half months.

The selected organizations are from the Skopje, Vardar, Southeast, and Pelagonia regions in North Macedonia and will operate at both local and regional levels.

The total support from Civica Mobilitas for these small action grants is 1,313,000 MKD.
